In a response to the What's the most pointless thing you did today post.
I'll go first.
Today I went to a firing range and shot some bullets from a real gun for the first time. My friend bought two so I got to try them. The first was a Rauger and I did fairly well for a beginer with that. Then I tried a baretta-which had more a a kick back then I expected. I was harder to hit the taget with it. I guess I need more practice.
I gave someone a hug today.
I bottle fed two baby goats whose mom went dry.
Twice.
I had sex for the first time in over a year.
LIVED ... every day you do that, it's AWESOME.
I just burnt a Bon Jovi album
I woke up really hung over, but still managed to get the last of my stuff into my new home.
So far:
Inventoried my t-shirts
Watched a few episodes of Squidbillies
Brushed my teeth
Maybe it'll get better. .
Had a weird dream about my late father. I got 'em 'round this time of year.
Then...
Got up on time (not typical for me), shaved (also not typical for me), chatted with a fiend on the phone (again, not typically something I would do), then ran a couple errands.
Then...
Auditioned for Anthony Horowitz' Mindgames http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/event.php?eid=40978853006 http://www.cattheatre.com/ & invited my friend along http://www.myspace.com/digitalmaestromusic because he was interested in what I do (first time in my life that's happened).
It was a very unusual audition. Typically, they give you five minutes, then the boot.
In this case, the characters change personas several times, so this was the first audition I've ever been to stay a while & retry different parts.
Then I got a chance to do some brown nosing on behalf of WRIR, & on behalf of my friend, who's a composer, ran a couple more errands, and then, told you guys about it.
Reviewed THE CREEPING TERROR.
Slept in till 2pm, after getting to bed at 5am. An awesome sunday all in all...
I just spent £100 on cds and dvds
Ate my sandwich at work with some Fritos. It was a thanksgiving sandwich I concocted myself.
Woke up late and started playing The World Ends With You. Bear in mind, my day has only just begun. Mwahahahahaha. My girlfriend and I are planning to go to Applebee's with the giftcard she got for Xmas.
Went to see the annual Louisville/Kentucky basketball game. One of the fiercest rivalries in sports at any level--the two fanbases absolutely hate each other, and it has as much to do with socioeconomic differences as team loyalty. Great game, and the good guys won on a last second shot, too. :tongueout:
I built a snowman with my son.
I punched some track-suited punk in the ribs whilst passing through the bus station :teddyr:

I had to read that about a half a dozen times before I got it. That's pretty good.
I got a raise at work.

Give it up for Rev Powell everyone, Rev Powell...he'll be here all week. :bouncegiggle:
Bringing up this old thread because it came mind.
I went zip lining for the first time today. Weather wasn't perfect, but going through the autumn leaves was pretty cool.
Made people laugh.
Making ten pounds of chili for today's potluck social.
Looked optimistically toward the future. Made a promise to be a soccer coach next year; picked out a perfect tree to build an awesome treehouse in the spring; promised my mom I'd watch Riverdance with her next week and make us a four-cheese macaroni pizza (which she loves and I can't stand, but hey...). Here's to ten-thousand tomorrows being better than ten-thousand yesterdays!
I tied orange flagging tape to stray cats to make it harder for them to hide in my bushes...
