Sure, death scenes can make you laugh. Is it wrong? Maybe. But it feels soooooo right! I think it's mostly the timing, that and I've watched so much Bugs Bunny and Road Runner that violence just seems hilarious.

I didn't laugh at that bit, but I thought to myself, "Whoops!"
I thought that the scene in
The Ring of the horse leaping overboard to its death was quite funny. Why'd it have to hit the railing?! If it had been a clean jump I don't think it would've tickled me in any way. This clip is too long so you might want to skip ahead a minute into it:

Pearl Harbor was out in theaters, I watched watched the ending many times while working as an usher, and one of the main characters has a big death scene and I always thought it was humorous. "I'm so cold..."
I think the ending of Reuben, Reuben (1983) was supposed to be funny, but I never thought so.

When I saw that scene (as Naomi was trying to pet the horsie and freaking it out) the though going through my mind was "Does this bug you? I'm not touching you! Does this bug you?".
There are a couple others I remembered, but alas, I cannot find videos for them.

There's a scene where Gyaos swoops down as a dog barks at him. All you see is Gyaos fly by the camera, followed by a shot of the dog chain fully extended and being violently pulled off the screen with this ungodly YEEEAAAALP! The chain eventually breaks...

i looked for a while, but i couldn't find a clip of robert englund's classic death scene from the end of the mangler.
This goes down as one of the more memorable theater experiences in my life. I went to see "Sleepwalkers" on premiere night and everyone was excited, packed house. Stephen King movie..you know. Then the akward scene with the mother and son making out.
Halfway through the film we realized it was clearly a b-movie. The audience started actually booing and hissing, some left. But something happened, people realized they could have fun watching this. So the next thing you know we were laughing and cheering at the worst moments.
One which included a climactic corn cob stabbing scene which had the audience on it's feet..lol

Karl's 911 call in "Slingblade" , the matter of fact way he politely tells the dispatcher that he's killed Doyle Hargraves with a lawnmower blade always makes me laugh, the fact that by that point in the film Doyle so richly deserves what he gets is just icing on the cake.

Funniest Movie Death Scenes

Almost all of the death scenes in the original Toxic Avenger are pretty funny. Except for the head-crushing scene early on...that's pretty sick.
I don't think there's ever been a death in a Final Destination movie that hasn't made me laugh..
The infamous head explosion in Scanners always cracks me up.

While looking for that Scanners clip, I also found a cool montage of nothing but exploding head scenes from various movies. Enjoy!

For me, the scene where all those people get killed in Shark Attack 3: Megalodon. You know, horrible greenscreen effect where somehow the shark swallows a raft, a guy on a jet ski riding straight into the shark's mouth, and another guy jumps ship and fall straight into the shark's mouth. It's not the funniest death scene, but I find it amusing and horribly bad at the same time.
I didn't find most of these death scenes funny, but found them extremely ridiculous. The movie to which I refer to is Frogs. Pretty much every scene where a person gets killed is stupid, funny, makes you spit out your food or water, or combonation of all three. The one that sticks with me is where the woman gets killed by the snapping turtle. I mean, come on!
In Raiders of teh Lost Ark, where the big guy gets into the airplane prop. That was pretty funny, as are most of the killings in Boondock Saints.
I thought it was hysterical in that scene in Bad Dreams where the doctor hits the guy with his car and yells, "Touchdown!"
Technically, it doesn't count as death since that turns out to be a hallucination.
(Sadly, can't find a youtube video of it.)
There's a Vincent Price revenge movie. One of the people he takes revenge on is a food critic, if I recall correctly, who is killed by being force fed a meal made of his pet poodle.

I'll have a list later, but first, I just want to ccorrect something. The actor there, who was British character actor Robert Morely, was not a food critic in the film, but a theater critic. The other theater critics in the film being played by British character actors: Ian Hendry, Harry Andrews, Coral Browne (who later married Price), Robert Coote, Jack Hawkins, Michael Hordern, Arthur Lowe, and Dennis Price. Each one, except for one, being murdered by Price's character in the film. And each murder being based upon one of Shakespeare's plays. Morely's death being based on Shakespeare's "Titus Andronicus," where one of the female characters unknowingly eats her two sons, who have been baked into a pie. A good film and a favorite of most actors.
According to the creator, 2:26 is Jack Frost 2. Funny, I must not have been paying attention to that part.

I believe the movie was 'Return of the Street Fighter', and the main character (forget his name), was fighting these guys on a snowy mountain. Well, he somehow punches this guy in the back and his eyes pop out of his head. It looked so bad, but hey, it was the 70's.

Every monster film has to have one :teddyr:
Oh god, every death scene in the Transporter was hillarious, especially the scene where some bad dude goes sledding to his death down an overpass on a truck-door!
Or how about the scene in Psychomania when a gang member in speedos chains himself to a boulder and drowns himself in a lake!
As I said previously, here is my list of "Death Scenes That Made You Laugh." Two for me, and one for everybody else.
For me, the scene that--I think--was meant to be funny.
"Captain Kronos, Vampire Hunter"
Kronos, seeing a man lieing in a field, goes to him, to see if he can help him. As he gets closer, he and we, see that the man has been ran over by a wagon. Kronos picks the man up to help him, and the man's arm falls off, where it has been severed by the wagon wheel. ROTFL! That is so wrong, but so right.
For me, the scene that--I am sure--was not meant to be funny.
"Siren of Bagdad"
While attacking the city gates, one of the attacking outlaws is shot off of his horse, by an arrow in the stomach. I don't know whether it was the way the man fell off his horse, or the sound he made, as he fell off, but ROTFL!
For everyone else
"Lair of the White Worm"
I've never found the scene funny, but I've been with groups of people watching the film, who have laughed throughout the death of the boy scout in the film.
Enjoy!

My last roommate and I were watching that movie, and we thought about Friday the 13th's death scenes as a whole. We both noticed that most (not all, but most) of the characters died after having committed some sinful or socially unacceptable act. We decided the roadside hippie's crime was gluttony. Still a funny death scene, though. I actually laughed at that as a kid.
Hatchet...wow...
Nicholas Cage At The End Of VAMPIRE'S KISS
I haven't seen it but I've been told that the "Not the bees!" scene in the remake of The Wicker Man is pretty funny...
The first set of girls (Jungle Julia, Shanna, "Butterfly" and their dealer) in DEATH PROOF. I nearly lost control of my bladder when the tire hit Butterfly's face.
When William Forsythe Gets Shot In The Face With A Shotgun And His Head Explodes In The Movie HACK!
Shaolin Executioner - Freeze Frame death of cotton beard old guy flying off the temple steps for no reason at end of the film.
Revenge of the Ninja - opening scene...menacing ninjas just get shot off rooftops by renegade agent w/ a .38 special...totally laughable flailing deaths.
Bruce Lee Super Gang (still can't find original film name, stars bruce lei, bolo yeung) - guy's head gets stomped on....cut of guy jumping back to guy on ground....who's head is now a watermelon that gets splattered. Also awesome freezeframe death of bruce lei get his eyes gouged out, then a dummy goes hurtling off a cliff.
Shogun's Ninja - girl coming through trees on a vine/trapeze-type apparatus in slo motion....suddenly gets ripped apart out of nowhere by about 20 shots from enemy blackpowder handgunners...catches me off guard everytime I watch this film.
Street Fighter - Sonny Chiba tears off a dude's nuts...which kills him. First usage of that "x-ray death" vision that was so common in films such as Romeo Must Die when Sonny Chiba drop kicks a dude in a speeding car.
Last fight scene in Casino Royale: Guy gets it through the eye with a nail gun. I was watching this on the train and that one made me laugh out loud.
The "bowels in or bowels out" scene from "Hannibal" (and just about every other scene in that movie for that matter) That was a great flick.
every death scene in the movie THE GORE GORE GIRLS is a laugh
Just thought of two more that are prime targets for the Darwin Awards.
In Hard Target, bad guy Lance Hendriksen, is trying to diffuse a grenade by screwing off the top. When he does he laughs, but the the cap (plunger, detonator, whatever its called) sparks. It's close enough to the body of the grenade that it ignites it, causing it to explode. Lance even lets out a "Whoops" just before getting blowing up. He would have been spared had he moved his had a few extra inches to one side
The other is in The Black Scorpion (an under-rated classic, even among bad movies). The Mexican general is trying to spear the giant scorpion. The harpoon is attached to a generator designed to deliver a massive amount of electricity-in hopes of killing the monster. They miss with the first shot, so the general PICKS UP the still active spear. Naturally, he gets electrocuted. Dead, because his mishandled a weapon designed to kill a 150 ft prehistoic arachnid.
