The producers wanted to combine Rocky Horror with Bladerunner. What they got was a great, huge steaming pile. This picture makes Springtime For Hitler seem like Pucinni.
Horrible acting, dreadful songs, Paris Hilton fercrisakes!
I spent most of the movie wondering how they managed to rope Paul Sorvino into this thing, although Pauli did appear to be having a blast. The best scene was Paris Hilton's face falling off.
my friends and i actually watched this after-hours at a comic book shop on a big screen television, so perhaps our experience varied from yours.
we thought it was fun. it was by no means great, but there were enough funny bits and recognizable faces/names to keep us interested.
Anything is funny with some bc bud.
well, we were all sober.
i think we just didn't expect much from it. i mean, it's a futuristic goth opera about organ repossession. we figured it'd be over-the-top, corny, and that's what we got. i'd say the average rating between all of us was 1 & 1/4th thumbs up.
I'm probably going to check this out at some point. "...makes Springtime For Hitler seem like Pucinni" is all the recommendation I need.

I just watched this last night. Personally, I liked it. Not great. But fun. I plan to post a review on Bearded Weirdo Reviews sometime soon. I'd give it either a 3.5 or 4 out of 5.
I watched it the other night. I'd give it 3 out of 5. I would have liked it better if the horror and comedy had been blended better throughout, as is I felt like it swung wildly from horror to black comedy and back again, and that just didn't sit well with me.
I was a bit interested in this flick due to Bill Mosely's involvement. But then I saw on the DVD box that it was from the director of one of the Saw films (which I despise) so I passed.
I bought a copy of it from Amazon and got it today. It's not horrible but it's not great either. I was saying WTF a lot thru the film but enjoyed it. It seemed more like a graphic novel than a film however. Granted I normally hate a film where all the dialogue is sang but it seem to work with the music and feel of the film. I won't say it's a great film, it's seriously bad but it's one of those fun bad movies that you can watch and enjoy. And Paris Hilton's face falling off is priceless.
It had potential, great production value. If only the songs were better, and if there was more drama. I didn't like how there really wasn't much of an opera.
Overall it made me wanted to watch Sweeney Todd: Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
i want to check it out cause ohgr from skinny puppy is in it :)
I saw where Paris Hilton won a Razzie for her role in this film. This made me laugh cause Paris' role in this is one she has played her entire life, skinny, spoiled, shallow, rich skank.
I agree with most of the board here. It was fun. Joan Jett was in a quick scene which I though was awesome.
Paris Hilton playing herself was damn good casting.
I enjoyed Repo! My only problem was the comic book cutaways that explained the backstory to us, even though the characters explained the same thing in their songs anyways. It kind of insulted my intelligence. It was like the filmmakers didn't think the audience would be able to keep up.
