Could it be "Hello Mary Lou, goodby heart?"

It is like the question of the chicken and the egg. What came first? The film or the song?
For example, the film "Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs," gave rise to the song "Who Woke Snow White Up?" by the Baha Men, but if the song came first, we have . . . (not necessarily named after the song, but inspiring the film . . .)
Song: The Ballad of the Green Berets
Film: The Green Berets
Song: Waltzing Matilda
Film: The Man from Snowy River
Song: I Walk the Line
Film: Same title
Song: The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down
Film: The Ballad of Virgil Cane
Song: We are the Champions
Film: The Mighty Ducks and its sequels
Song: She Wore An Yellow Ribbon
Film: Same title
Song: Go! Speedracer! Go!
Film: Speedracer
(Also credit the animated series)
Song: Grandma Got Run Over by A Reindeer
Film: Same
(TV movie)

Ozzymandias speaks: Roy Rogers introduced the song "Don't Fence Me In" in a musical called Hollywood Canteen. It was so popular that Republic built a movie around it in 1945 with Gabby Hayes as Wildcat Kelly, the outlaw mentioned in the lyrics.
Best part is the first part of the film. Dale Evans plays a investigative report disguised a "dancing girl" at a mob party. She dances on a table in a skimpy outfit with fishnet hose. Dale was HOT in those days. :hot:
