My God, what a god-awful pile of dreck. This is no "Hellraiser" sequel, this is the lamest slasher movie I've ever seen! Really. It's about some kids who are supposed to be videogame geeks, although they look like Calvin Klein models instead, who are invited to some party and start getting killed in unispiring ways and way too slowly. And they deserve it. I mean, the minute I'm told to go to a party in Romania where the host is Lance Henriksen, I start thinking there may be something wrong here. Even if Romania is supposed to be the United States.
And are the killings any good? Nope. An ambarrased-looking Pinhead does some of the killings himself, using items as mundane as butcher knifes. Maybe it's a hint he was a very mean person in a previous life. Or maybe it's just lame. A bored-looking Lance Henriksen fares a bit better, if only for the ridiculous one-liners he utters, such as "I like to party" or "Like a bad horror movie, isn't it." Well, it sure is, Lance. And wait until you see the big-surprise ending, it's the very definition of anticlimatic. Not to mention it makes zero sense.
But not even those things can make me forget the worst thing of all: A videogame?! This freaking movie is about a f*cking videogame?! I hope next time the writers came up with something less embarrasing for Pinhead. I don't know, like turning him into a used cars salesman that tricks teenagers into Hell while selling them their first wheels. Yeah, something like that.
Yes this was mind numbingly bad, I won't give away the "twist" ending :lookingup: but after watching this one I can definitely say that this film made P2 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0804516/ look real good by comparison.
