At Larry the Cable Guy's wedding guests were offered the choice of either squirrel or fish. Most chose squirrel.
If they served squirrel on a menu, I'd try it. Squab, Quail, and Turtle are all delicious. If you've never tried Elk steak, you're missing the best.
My grandma used to cook squirrel when she was still with us. She "retired" from that a couple years before she passed. No one else in the family is willing to cook squirrel now. And yes...I can say it tastes like chicken!
