Have you ever noticed how you prefer to sit? At the computer, I've noticed I usually sit with my left leg ankle on the chair tucked under my right thigh with my right foot on the ground. Sometimes I'll put my right foot up on something like the trash can. I have a pretty big tendency to slouch in my chair. I'm surprised I don't have scoliosis.
Then again, I don't think I've ever sat properly anywhere.
I always sit hunched with my legs together. I would cross them but it's difficult with the desk.
Good grief.
I misread the word 'sit' in the question, momentarily, and thought it was an even stranger question. :bouncegiggle:

Actually, you know where I said that I don't think I've ever sat properly anywhere. Well now that you mention that, I take it back. :bouncegiggle:
Sometimes I'll sit diagonally on the chair and rest my feet on the mantelpiece.
I'll do the gentlement leg crossing thing (ankle over knee) in some chairs. I have this bad habit of bouncing my leg on the ground. I've been yelled at many times by the Mrs. about creating earthquake-like conditions in the house.
This thread is just so ripe for comments. :teddyr:

That's the damn weirdest bathroom position I've heard of. :bouncegiggle:

Way to go, dude!
I prefer to use the seated position. I've tried it in the reclined and standing positions and neither were really effective for sitting. Also I prefer to use the seated position with my butt. I tried it a few times with my head and always got terrible headaches from it.

Speaking of sitting positions...
I almost wrote a thread about how men cross their legs.
This is the way a man should cross his legs:

The second picture is how women should cross their legs, not men.
For one, women have wider hips which allows them to cross their legs in that way easily.
I remember reading an article that said because men's hips are narrower, many of them physically cannot cross their legs like that. Or they can but they find it extremely uncomfortable.
I can barely cross my legs like that and if I do, my package is squashed and I have a hard time holding my legs in that position. It's very uncomfortable for me.
I cross my legs like the guy in the first picture.
There is a woman who actually studies the positions people use when they have to go to the bathroom, and she says most people get it wrong. When we sit down, when we go, we close off everything, but if we stood up, when we go, we'd open up everything. The only question I have, is we stood up, how would most of us, hit what we're aiming at?
I sit with my legs crossed like in both of those pictures above (maybe I have girly hips).
I sometimes sit in the chairs we have at work like this (only not generally with my hands on my groin): -

I had this habit when I was a teenager . . . my mother used to yell at me when I did it. I still do it occasionally, but not nearly as much as when I was younger.
At work, I sit at my desk in a very normal position . . . although, sometimes I cross my ankles.
When watching TV, I sit on our sectional, which has a recliner on each end of it. So, I recline all the way back with my feet up.
In the bathroom, I sit leaning slightly forward with a book in my hand (I have both PSYCHOTRONIC books on the vanity beside the toilet). This might be a topic for another discussion: "What do you read on the toilet?"

I think we may have covered that but I'm too lazy to look for the thread. I have Mad's Bathroom Reader in there along with a few magazines.

Wow . . . Mad's Bathroom Reader . . . I'll need to get a copy of this!
