It's fricken hillarious! It's a Christian propaganda film, that talks about the dangers of Communism invading USA. The only way to stop the invasion is by having a nation-wide revival and then God will protect the USA. This movie has little vignettes running through it depicting Communists with bad Russian Accents graphically torturing and killing Christians, and tricking people into ditching the faith. There are scenes with bloody bodies of children lying dead in the streets!
It's totally wacko! It's shot sort of like an exploitation movie. Matter a fact when exploitation movie maker Ron Ormand was saved he teamed up with Estus Pirkle and produced mania like this!
(You can see it on Google, it's public domain, so no one is getting hurt-- besides if you were to buy it, it's bootlegged or you'd be funding the fundies!)

I've never actually seen this movie but it's on my list. Now that I know I can catch it online, I may check it out today.
I didn't know this until I started covering Satan Hates You that there was a whole late 60's/early 70's wave of these Christsploitation flicks. I sort of thought it was unique to the end of the 90's where rapture movies were everywhere (and hilarious!).
I remember seeing a bit of that on Youtube or someplace. Funny stuff :teddyr:

In a way...BLOOD FREAK was a twisted Christploitation film too!

I'm guessing he's talking about the LEFT BEHIND films. That series actually started in 2000 but the were some before it on the rapture theme, like VANISHED (1998). I've never seen any of them and I don't know if they have any entertainment value, whether intention or unintentional. I'm betting they're not as wild as FOOTMEN, though, from what I've read.
Nothing is new under the sun...
