Title: Welcome to Dreadville Series - Dark of Night FREE MOVIE!!
Post by: jason patfield on March 04, 2009, 10:22:10 AM
Greetings,My name is JP owner of the independent no budget production company Bublenutz Productions and creator of the Welcome to Dreadville Series. WTD is an episodic mini-series which takes place in the fictional town of Dreadville, each episode is stand alone or can be viewed in succession. Our influences include Twilight Zone, Hitchcock and Tales from the Crypt, each episode runs approx 20-30 mins and is produced, directed and edited all by me. WTD has been an official selection in multiple film festival and have achieved nominations for best guerrilla film and best no-budget film (no awards yet..)I was contacting you today in hopes that you might be interested in reviewing the WTD series, at this point we have compiled 6 episodes on 1 disk and would like to get some feedback. If you possibly take a look it would be greatly appreciated, you can check out IMDB.COM for creditor's or our website at www.bublenutz.site50.netOr you can check out 1 of the episodes that we have up on MYSPACE.COM in low resolution.Dark of Night:

What are your episodes like, content-wise?
If they ran on TV, what would they be rated?

And are they better than Brain Damage Films! :teddyr:

Here is our last review from movie cynics....

http://www.moviecynics.com/welcome-to-dreadville-episodes-1-5-2006-2008-new-independent-film-reviews/

Each episode range is genre from Horror to Drama, but always has some really gory scenes, NOT CGI!! But nice Tom Savani special effects...NOT BY TOM SAVANI...
Dark Of Night is a little milder then most, we were going for more of a Hithcock feel, Red is our homage to Troma films horror/comedy, Are You Rei is supernatural thriller, and we feel the weekest of the series..:(
Addict is a homage to Street Trash/Requim to Dream, and The Payback is pretty much just a snuff film...
Coming out this year is The Lottery which is coming out great! We are just finished editing...
To answer your question, It would only be able to be shown on cable, we have to much swearing, graphic content to be shown on TV unless we dumbed it down, which we are not willing to do at this time, until we pitch these (pilots) and maybe secure a deal?? Lol....
Each episode is filmed with no budget, we can't pay our actors and have s**t equiptment, but we are getting better and expanding with every episode. Networking helps a bunch, understanding what our limitation are and exploring our potential, this next episode The Lottery I think will be our best to date, we keep getting better (hopefully) and will continue to make and promote the series 4 a good while...
You can chekc out a couple webisodes on YOUTUBE.COM/BUBLENUTZ

Let us know what you think, good or bad...we have heard it all...so we invite critism to help us learn and improve!
Peace from Dreadville!!!
