It's "Race To Witch Mountain", yes the Disney children's classic re-envisoned. Why's it not called "Escape" then I hear you ask? Ah, well, today's society wants things to go fast. Everything quicker, because people have no goddamn patience anymore. Escaping is too boring, too dated. "Racing" there is much better....

I must admit I had my doubts, too, but after seeing the trailer, it may not be as bad as I think. Certainly, the SFX have come along way since the original. Anyway, I'll be there this weekend.
As I have said before, at other websites, when this subject comes up, having read the children's novel, upon which the original was based. they are getting farther and farther away from the original novel.
