After taking my hair, I offered them my teeth but somehow, they didn't seem to want those too. :buggedout: :buggedout:

I'm just messin' with ya! :tongueout:
Good for you for participating in that Shavathon.
Karma!
My nephew did something like that here in the US. He grew his hair out really long then had it all cut off for an organization called Locks of Love which makes real hair wigs for children who have long term hairloss due to illnesses such as cancer.

That is exactly what the Shavathon does here in SA ~ I couldn't believe the spirit going around at the Menlyn Mall on Saturday. It was like everyone was saying: "Up yours, cancer, we'll beat you!"

And karma for you my good man for giving to a worthy cause.
You kind of look like Count Orlock now, Trevor.
A couple years back I participated in a big event put into motion by the science teachers at my high school -- participating students and faculty could either donate hair to Locks of Love, or get people to pledge them money to do something ridiculous with their hair (I grew a mullet), with the money going to the Roswell Park Cancer Institute (http://"http://www.roswellpark.org/")'s Pediatrics wing. We raised about $5,000 plus got about 20 individual hair donations, including three feet of hair from a woman who hadn't cut her hair in five years.

Some hippie I used to work with had really long red hair and cut it for LoL, but didn't completely shave his head. He left just enough that he looked like he was trying to be a Barry Manilow look-a-like. It was an awesome gesture, but in the end he caught ALOT more crap than he thought he would.
I had my hair all cut off about two weeks ago and I donated it to locks of love. They measured my ponytail and it was 21 inches long. Now I have a cute bob that is alot easier to take care of and it was for a good cause. Props to you trevor!
I usually say that everybody should try a shaved head if they want to, but I think I'll make an exception in Trevor's case. :buggedout:
To me, charity head shaves are a little bit like collecting pledges for flossing in the morning and putting on clean socks.

:teddyr: I agree 100% with you there, Andrew.
A day after doing that to my hair, I was still cowering in fear of my reflection in the mirror: I thought there was someone else in my house standing behind me when I looked in the mirror. :buggedout: :buggedout:
