I did not use ANY of the lines you warned me about with the State Senate yesterday, and had a very good hearing as a result.
I walked in tall and proud, and said -
"I'd like to begin my testimony with an interpretive dance number I call 'The Lonely Lithic'!"
Within moments, they all offered to vote for my bill if I would stop!!!
Seriously, it went very well and I think my bill has an excellent chance of making it through the Senate. I may have to do a repeat performance for the House in a few weeks.
And I almost forgot . . . here's a picture. Indiana Smith Goes to Austin . . .

You should have gotten your hat back for the day!
I'm sorry Indy I couldn't hear you over that very loud tie you are wearing in the picture. :bouncegiggle: In all seriousness I'm glad it went well for you.
I was gonna wear one of my brightly colored ties, but my wife thought it would be better if I dressed conservatively. You should see some of the ones in my closet! :bouncegiggle:

That tie was the exact same thing that my eyes were attracted to. I almost didn't notice the building in the background.

That's not the loudest tie? I now fear looking in your closet. I fear you may have one that can result in complete insanity if one looks at it too long.

:teddyr: No, the ones that cause insanity are not Indy's ties but my undies. Read my review of
Event Horizon here and you'll see why Sam Neill yanked his own eyes out in that film. :teddyr:
That tie is very 1994 !
Didn't Jerry Garcia or Grateful Dead have a tie line?

Indiana Smith Goes to Austin . . .
As long as it's better than "Indiana Smith DOES Austin". . .That movie was horrible. . .
Sorry about that, GHouck . . . the guy who lifted that chapter from my private memoirs was a REAL hack . . . probably didn't even mention my steel cage death chess tournament against Governor Perry.
