Do you remember the time when you could download any movie from the site for free?
Well, it's over.
Yup, you have to pay for them.
See it for yourself.

It is not their fault, though. The website hosting company is the one to blame. (or at least, I think)
Still, what a waste... :bluesad:
Are those public domain movies? I've been looking for "The Great Scout and Cathouse Thursday" for a while now to no avail, but they say they have it, but don't say what media.
I don't know if thse films are public domain or not, all I know that they haven't been released on dvd/vhs.
I downloaded a few one of them while it was still free. The movies are in .avi format. Hope that helped.
Many, if not all, of those films are not in the public domain. If they were, they would show up in Mill Creek 50 packs. I don't think the website operator has a clue about what "public domain" means. I do believe he has researched and made sure none of the movies are currently in print, though.
"The Great Scout and Cathouse Thursday" is from 1976 and should still be under copyright. It has some marketable stars, so my guess is the copyright holder has gone MIA. Often the company that owns the rights will go bankrupt and dissolve, leaving a DVD release in limbo.
You can pick up a lot of public domain stuff here http://www.archive.org/details/feature_films
A lot of them are films you see talked about here a lot, but hey if you want to watch classic you can get there free.
They do have few from the 70's
There was a site here.
It's gone now. :bluesad:
