I wish everyone a fun and safe Memorial Day!
Think about all the Dads, or Grandads, Uncles and Aunts, Moms, Brothers Sisters Pals who have served our great nation with the ultimate sacrifice.
I'm going to the lake tomorrow with a friend . . .
but before I do, I'm going to lay some flowers at our county's war memorial.
Lest we forget.

I'm going here to visit my dad.
I spent today with my family, and thought of my father who is buried in the VA Cemetery.
As was already well said, my deepest thanks to the many men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice so that we do not have to.
My wife and I spent Saturday and Sunday in Maine. My friend and his wife own 40 acres up there where they escape from the hustle and bustle of the greater Boston area on weekends during the summer. On the property he has a trailer with no electricity and no running water - - and he has a 2-seater outhouse (in case you want to hold hands, I guess). I am NOT the kind of person who likes to "rough it," but I had a great time up there. It's real redneck country - - his neighbor has a sign that says, "Trespassers will be shot. Survivors will be shot again."
On Monday, my wife and I had a quiet barbecue at our house with my mom and dad.
