Wow. I just watched this late last night on TCM.

I never even heard of this film!

John Cassavetes (remember him from ROSEMARY'S BABY?) is Hank McCain-an outlaw bankrobber sprung from the joint by mafioso Charlie Adamo (Peter Falk!). His assignment-help Charlie get a foothold in the Royal Casino operations. Problem is....the bigshots in the mob say no dice to Charlie. Charlie backs down...but McCain has his own ideas....like robbing the casinos vault! Like bombing the place while it's full of people! The mob don't take to kindly to this...and the sh1t hits the fan.
This is an Itailian/US production-so you get to see some familiar faces from spagehtti westerns and euro-horror flicks, and the score is by Morricone!
Cassavettes is badass cool His girlfreind, played by Brit Ekland,is around mostly as eye candy. Peter Falk is a Joe Pesci type;and Gena Rowlands is GREAT as McCain's ex moll. Lotsa twists and turns-a fun time waster!

I guess in Italy the film was known as The UNTOUCHABLE.
