I don't know how I missed this amazing sci fi movie.  Maybe it's because the title is kind of bland so I didn't notice it or perhaps it was unavailable to be shown on television?  but I, unlike Andrew (http://www.badmovies.org/movies/phaseiv/), was very very into it.  It has some of the hallmarks of 70's midnight movies,  animals on the loose/ disaster. horror type things , but at it's root it is a Twilight Zone, Ray Bradbury type science fiction story come to life.  Alot of sci fi movies are really jsut action or horror movies but here yuo will definately get a generous helping of SCIENCE.  lots of computers, scientific jabbering, beakers, knobs turning and frequencies...frequenting.    no extras on the DVD but the film looks great and isn't letterboxed which I don't personally like as I have a tiny tv.  highest possible recomendation.  One of the coolest movies ever.  The woman is beautiful too.  The director really knocked it out of the park all around. 5/5

Dull, boring, lifeless movie.  The ending is one of the worst of all time.

This used to be on TV back in the 1970s and I saw it 2 or 3 times.  I bought the DVD about a month ago, but haven't opened it yet.

I saw it at the Strand Theater back in the 70's. I like it quite well. Pure sci-fi...and the photography is beautiful.
