Title: Crack House (1989)

take "Vice Squad",  cross it with "New Jack City" and add some grindhouse sadism and you've got this 80's late night cable style adventure.  The opening was a little weak, action packed but didn't really catch your attention.   I was afraid it was going to be a typical Norris knock off cop movie with very stereotypical gang guys.  With the introduction of the girl main character whose name I can't remember  it changes into something far more interesting and intense.  The guy she hooks up with when her boyfriend is in jail is like a really good actor.  You forget he's an actor, that's why I say he's "really good".  Crack house manager Jim Brown begins a business meeting by serving Olde Englishe 40 ouncers to his guest and assistant.  They must really be rollin in the dough there!  plenty of grit in the form of violence towards women, drug use, guns, racism.  plot is thin but story moves well after slow ish begining.  unusually edgy and crazy, cheesy diaogue    4/5
