Title: Star Runners rampage through Cosmic Cinema
Post by: Kester Pelagius on June 14, 2009, 06:38:21 PM
This was the Sci-Fi Channel "original" movie for Saturday June 14, 2009.  At a glance this is a quaint space opera throwback to series like FIREFLY and STARHUNTER with action-adventure aspirations of being a real big screen feature presentation ala PITCH BLACK and STARSHIP TROOPERS.  Yet, in some ways, it also plays like cloned feltercarb.  Never heard of this movie?  See the review (w/ screen caps) at Cosmic Cinema (http://cosmic-cinema.blogspot.com/2009/06/star-runners.html) to learn more.

Or if you saw this flick- starring Connor Trinneer (Enterprise) and James Kyson Lee (Heroes)- when it aired skip the review and share your thoughts on what you saw.  Did you like it?  Hate it?

Compared to some of the other SCi-Fi channel movies of the past few months, Star Runners wasn't that bad.  While watching it, I spent more time trying to think of what movies it ripped off: Pitch Black, Serenity, Starship Troopers, Fifth Element, and Resident Evil
