*sigh*
No Robert.
No.
Ugh, I thought Zemeckis would surely have all this motion capture crap out of his system by now...and why try and spoil such a great movie with a sequel that will surely suck? Motion captured CGI characters just won't have the same appeal or be nearly as impressive as hand-drawn cel animation.
If they did it with CG and motion capture, it wouldn't even make any sense. The characters are inherently 2D hand-drawn in the original, it would just be a ridiculous sequel that doesn't even make sense.

I think the character will still be 2D but they'll use computers to pull off some of the physical effects they couldn't do in 88.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! :hatred:
Well, they've only been talking about this since at least 2000/2001. Of course, they started talking about "T2on," at about the same time, and it looks like we finally may get that one, so a "Roger Rabbit 2" is not impossible.
As a matter of record, they also talked about doing the following films . . .
"Buck Rogers"
"Gargoyles"
"The Love Boat"
"Rock 2"
"Sailor Moon"
"Dr. Who"
"Sixth Sense 2"
"Star Blazers"`
"Stretch Armstrong"
and "Country Bears 2"
I very much doubt there will be a Doctor Who film.
At least not for a few years.

Actually, I very much doubt that any of these will ever see the light of day, but how long have they been talking about a sequel to "Tron," and it looks like we finally may get that, so who knows about the rest.

I gotta agree with doggett on this one. The revived series is going strong on both sides of the Atlantic.
This is getting to be a bit of an old thread, but there was an update from Comic Con.
Zemeckis didn't confirm or deny Roger Rabbit 2, but he said if it did happen the 2D characters would REMAIN in 2D.
