:buggedout: :bouncegiggle: :thumbup:Its from Japan, where logic don't apply. In fact, it won't even stop by the theater and say 'Hi, how ya doin'?
No, logic gets a cease and disist order, and demands a 3.000 mile 'don't bother me' zone.
Oh, I still watch this puppy. I'm just sayin'...
I hear good things. I hope to get around to watching and reviewing it sometime.
Was lucky enough to see this last year at the Melbourne International Film Festival and did a review for it here:

Was awesome silly movie. There are some painfully pathetic parts, and it does have some bad moments too, but it more than makes up for it with the incredibly ridiculous monsters and fight scenes and the ending, especially after watching the whole movie, is even more hilarious.
A must see!
I had the chance to watch it in the cinema.(On a film festival)
Unfortunatley, I missed it. :bluesad:
I just ordered the DVD.
AnubisVonMojo was kind enough to send me a burn of this film which I started to watch, but found the beginning a wee bit slow for my mood that night. Definitely will be checking it out again soon.

It's funny you mention that: it was the same for me but for different reasons-
The Projectionist kept screwing up and they played the first five minutes in the wrong aspect ratio, and the sound was way too low, then they rebooted and tried again but the curtain came down [so you could vaguely make it out] so they rebooted after another few minutes and tried again, then FINALLY we saw it properly. So I know the start well, and it is slow. The whole thing except for the monster scenes is pretty slow, but that's what it is, and it makes the ridiculousness of the whole movie all the better.
My DVD purchase arrive today. Here are my thoughts:
* The movie is too long at 108 minutes . . . should have been cut down to around 90 minutes.
* While some of the documentary-style interviews are slow, there are some downright hilarious moments in this movie.
* The final battle is deliciously absurd . . . I wish the entire movie had been this good!
* The scene that plays during the closing credits is very funny . . . all dialogue . . . but very funny.
Not a classic, but still a worthy tribute to Ultra Man, Infra Man and the entire Japanese giant monster genre.
This film looks "off-the-chain" nuts!!! Count me in!
Heard about this one a while ago, really need to see this.
