I'll be out of town for several days and just wanted to wish everyone a happy 4th of July before I go.
I'm off to Bettendorf, Iowa (it's right along the Mississippi River) to party, grill out, shoot pool, go swimming, watch the fireworks and drink lots of beer!
Hope everyone has a safe and fun holiday!
I'm *ahem* British...

I'm gonna eat much, belch mightily, and leave a HUGE carbon footprint!

And how is this different from any other day? :teddyr:
I'll be reading my little pocket copy of the Declaration of Independence and United States Constitution and reflecting on the brave men and women who built this country from (to quote a certain highly-regarded Brit) "blood, sweat, toil and tears."
So far my fourth has involved....taking my friend to the emergency room, losing a hamster, breaking a heel, thinking of chewing my arm off this morning to get away (ahem) and having a terrible hangover. atleast i havent set the oven on fire like my cousin....
anyways, here's to hoping everyone has a great fourth and mine randomly gets better :bouncegiggle:
I didn't even know it was the 4th! :buggedout: I'm getting stone dead hammered before work on monday.....Let the carlsberg flow and the 80s arena rock deafen!!!!! :drink:
Feasting, strong 9% stout brews + movies.
I dedicate this to you all!

I will be glad when the day is over myself. I swear it sounds like a warzone with all the explosions going off.
In a town of about 2500, we have about 13,000 tour-iods visiting today for the 4th. I know people who, like me, live a couple miles outside of town, and it took them an hour to go those 2-3 miles. Glad I stayed home.
Just think, over a few hundred years ago Doggett/Circus and I would have been shooting at each other in a Massachuesetts field somewhere. I would have won. :twirl: I'm glad we're friends now.

:bouncegiggle: What a cool thought!
I'm sure I would've got in a few hits with my smiley pies and water gun at least. :teddyr:

I wasn't evolved yet back then, I was still a monkey and would have been throwing poop, , at both sides.

And I'll still throw poop at you. As a monkey, I've never heard of the Geneva Convention, , so medics are free game. .
