Title: creepy animated film from the mid-70s?

Im asking for this in behalf of someone else... the main details are:

early-mid 1970s
done in stop-film photography like wallace + Grommitt
was in 2 parts

story is man who lives with his daughter and forbids her to marry the man she is in love with, so she commits suicide, then her father puts her brain in another body which can't move around much.

does this ring any bells for anyone?
