Title: ATTENTION NIGHTBREED FANS
Post by: kakihara on August 08, 2009, 06:01:10 PM
they have finally found some of the missing footage from nightbreed! I have waited about twenty years for this. clive talks about it on his site. so far they have found about 45 minutes. finally, there may be an extend directors cut! though, it depends on the powers that be. it seems that some executive thinks that it wont sell. it will sell! people either hate this movie or really love it, with all the horrible B-movies that have been released on dvd lately, how could the think that? come on, this is a cult favorite. theres a petition on clives site so people can leave messages and show some interest in restoring this movie, so the can convince some guy in a suite to green light the project. i never knew that clive had so little control over his movies, that explains why some could be better. im so excited about this! some other films are mentioned as well, like raw-head rex! I think clive doesnt even know who owns the rights to this little-known gem. raw-head rex jr? midnight meat train 2 & 3? hellraiser remake! theres not alot of info there, but it gives us something to look forward to, if you like these movies.

I've seen you before, and at that time I did indeed sign the petition :teddyr: .

I've been following this story for some years now, and am definitely in support of such a release. I remember getting the Epic Comics adaption of the film when it came out, and at the time was perplexed by the differences, now I know why. As of late Clive has been treated pretty shoddily by movie studios with the whole Midnight Meat Train debacle, and the struggle to get The Thief Of Always produced. While the films he directs certainly have flaws, Hellraiser, Nightbreed, and The Lord of Illusions are some of my favorite contemporary horror films.

I found the story interesting but felt it was had too many loose ends. I have always hoped that either a remake or a sequel would be made. When I saw the topic I had hoped it was one of those being planned. I would enjoy seeing the additional footage if released.
