Title: Hobgoblins 2
Post by: Leah on August 09, 2009, 10:35:05 PM
Believe it or not, there is a movie called hobgoblins 2. it is as crappy as the original, despise the fact that it was made 20 years later.

I really don't see the point in things trying to leech off the "success" of old junk twenty years later, they're hardly ever good.

Andrew conducted an interview with the director of Hobgoblins and Hobgoblins 2, which you can and should read here (http://www.badmovies.org/interviews/ricksloane/).

Hobgoblins is a bad movie, and I have not seen it non-MST3K'd. I also do not plan to watch the sequel. However, I admire Rick Sloane for plugging away at movie-making, especially on minuscule budgets and no support. Hobgoblins is one of the more popular MST3K episodes, and most notable for being a very, very low-rated film. If Sloane can make some money off a sequel to his previous film, even twenty years later, more power to him.

I get a real kick out of Rick Sloane.  I've got another of his movies, Blood Theater, and it's very similar in style to Hobgoblins.  It's almost as if he's making kids movies, judging by the nonsensical...everything, but then he tosses in a boob or two.  And he gets really "unique" performances out of his actors  :teddyr:  The guy's A-okay in my book!

Well that changes my previous opinion a bit, thanks.
