When many people see the number "666" they think of something evil. Christians associate it with the number of the beast while others associate it with horror movies. In fact I am sure many here can name at least one horror movie where the number "666" was in the title or used as a basis for the plot of the film in some way. But what are your personal feelings about having the number turn up in everyday life.
I know I use to fear it and back when I drove a semi I had a streak of bad luck with a trailer which last 3 numbers was "666". However since then I have come to see it as just a number like any other. In fact the last 3 numbers on my driver's license is "666". In fact I use it as a joke to tell people they are right when they say I'm evil because it's on my license.
I wish it was the last 3 numbers of my drivers license :teddyr:

Gilligan: Professor, whats 666 that mean something bad?
Professor: 666 in just a number Gilligan, there is no scientific facts behind it.
Skipper: The only number I think of is 36-22-36!
There have been several times when I bought a few items at the store and the total came to $6.66.
The cashier always said something like, "Uh oh! That's a bad price!"
What I don't like is when I buy a single item and with tax, it comes to $6.66.
It's like it's cursed or something.
:buggedout:
It doesn't bother me, I welcome the appearance of that number
MANOS: THE HANDS OF FATE's entry-number of IMDB ends in 666.
revelations is so wild. I think it was chosen just for the sound of the words
For me it's just the number after 665 and before 667.
My favorite use of that number was in the Asylum's movie The Day The Earth Stopped. Alien robots land on planet Earth, and there's 666 of them. Apparently - on another planet - they had an Emperor named Nero, and a certain religious group didn't like him, and according to their language-specific numerology, his name translated into numbers was 666. This occurs frequently throughout the galaxy. I guess.

I thought you were kidding, then I checked it.
I recently got a DBA name: "366 Distribution."
The clerk said, "I don't think we can give you that number." Turns out he assumed I said "666." I don't know if there's actually a state regulation against using 666 in a business name, but in Kentucky I guess it wouldn't shock me.
As far as I know the majority of theologians believe the number 666 relates to Nero, who was emperor at the time Revelations was written, who persecuted Christians, and who's name adds up to "666" using Hebrew numerological techniques.
Fearing a number never made much sense to me. Now fearing certain letters, well.
I had a friend who once saw a cashier totally freak because the order total came to $6.66. The cashier refused to finish the sale and got someone else to. I also knew an old woman who said Ronald Reagan was the Antichrist because he had six letters in each of his names, indicating 666. To me 666 does bring back bad memories because it was the title of one of the worst books I ever read in my entire life. 666 by Salem Kirban.
Well darn, I was going to say I remember some Jesuit in my senior-year theology class telling us that 666 from the Book of Revelation was a veiled numerological reference to the Roman Emperor Nero, as in the suggestion that the figure the number identified would be as bad as Nero was, but Rev. Powell got the fact in first. Way to steal my thunder, Rev!
