Lets pay tribute to our fallen comrades...
my Troll 2 tape got ate a few nights back.
Even though I ordered it on DVD, this was the tape that I bought from my old video rental place;
I used to rent this tape constantly and watch it with my friends, oh the memories!
Here's to you
AILEEN WOURNOS:CONFESSIONS of a SERIAL KILLER. Ate :bluesad:
My big box version of 2000 MANIACS. Ate. :bluesad: :bluesad:
RETURN of the LIVING DEAD. ATE! :hatred:
DRACULA vs. FRANKENSTEIN!!! AAAAAAAATE! :hot:
the horror...the horror...
A couple of years ago my uncut VHS tape of A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child got eaten by a friend's player.
The thing that sucks is that the Elm Street DVD box set I have only has the R rated cut in it for some stupid reason.
I had a bootleg copy of "Deep Inside Annie Sprinkles" when I was a teenager that a VCR ate. I wept like a small child. . .
Conan the Barbarian 1982 eaten by VCR.
Destroy All Monsters back when I was a younger child...
...I was happy at the time, one of the trailers frightened me XD
My vhs of I Spit On Your Grave (Anchor Bay version) was eaten a few weeks back. :bluesad:

it actually does...good call haha
not a 'film' as such, but I once managed to destroy my step-dad's important video of man utd beating some other european team by constantly rewinding a particular goal that was scored. the vcr basically ended up mashing the tape.
We never had tapes eaten by our old VCR but I do recall our VCR once tearing the tape of the John Candy comedy Delirious after rewinding. I was in panic because it was a brand new rental tape. I had three options: either bring the damaged video back and pay $90.00 or lie and say it was already damaged. Which might have not worked because the rental place usually checked the tapes before handing them out. I went with the third option and fixed the torn tape with scotch tape. I had to unscrew the tape to open it and yes, the safety sticker sealing ripped during the process. However, they never suspected a thing when I returned the movie so I guess I got lucky

wow... that story reminded me how we got screwed in those VHS movie clubs... :)
The movie club would mail you a movie and you have a week to return it or you be forced to buy it... and we got stuck with Aliens... it costed us $98 DOLLARS!!!! (this was between 1987 to 1988)

Not only movie clubs and rental places had insane prices. I remember in the late 80s some store was offering
Brain Damage (1988) for a whooping $79.95. Another place had
Meridian (1990) for $69.

I'm still around. In major flux - but around!
Yeah, MONDO TRASHO is pretty unwatchable. The main problem I had with it is it's awfully boring!
his next one, MULTIPLE MANICS, is a classic, though. Divine's line "I now know you are part of the plot to deliberately
get on my nerves!" is one I use often! :teddyr:
