this guy (http://toddversushighschool.com/post/176775846/grammar-review-in-brit-lit-today-teacher-asked-me) is a succesful writer. He apparently writes for ESPN, has written a book and has had columns in the wall street journal. He never did graduate high school however. He was a national merit scholar, but he had a 1.7 Grade point average and was kicked out of two different schools. In one spanish class his average was 4 percentile.
So at 33 he quit his job, this is so counterintuitive, and has gone back. not to get his GED, but back to his actual high school as a student. Like that nightmare you have where you are back in high school even though you graduated a long time ago.
You can follow his progress or lack therof on that blog and twitter. I think my high school got demolished and despite the feverish protestations of the principal in the nightmare I know I did graduate!
