Title: R.O.T.O.R. or Hands of Steel --?
Post by: Horrible Movie Night on October 05, 2009, 07:07:17 PM
Which is more awful of a "Terminator" ripoff?  I'm kinda partial to "Hands of Steel" because it's got John Saxon in it (who, along with Cameron Mitchell, is the bellweather of a bad movie).

Thoughts?

I have seen neither, so I can be no help here.  But if you do a bad Western theme, you have GOT to go with THE COWBOY KILLER.  Most awesomely bad movie in a decade or more!

Hands of Steel is a much worse movie.  It's easy to crack a beer and enjoy ROTOR.  I think you'd have to be zoned on barbiturates to make it through Hands of Steel without fast forwarding or giving up.

I love ROTOR, though I wanna see Hands of Steel, it looks so ridiculous.

I've never seen Hands of Steel, but ROTOR...wow.  It goes to a place that most bad movies can only dream of.  I love the board meeting near the beginning where the whole conversation is completely nonsensical.  And then you've got the hero waxing poetically about his horse or something, just out of the blue.  And the looooooong shot of the answering machine taking a message.  And the dopey robot.  And then there's the actual plot  :buggedout:  :buggedout:
