Ok, this could be in the movie-boards but it snot about anything. But I have decided I hate wire-fu. When you watch Masta Bruce, or any of the other great fu stars you know they knew how to fight. This flying though the air stuff just leaves me cold, and has ruined so many decent films for me.
There thats off my chest.

I hate it too. Every martial arts film I have seen, or any film based around feudal Asia has all this jumpy, floaty, flying nonsense going on. It looks stupid. I know it's not a martial arts film, but I watched "Chi Bi" the other night and people were getting hit and flying 20ft backwards through the air, stepping on thin air to attack people, utter tripe it was. Seriously, they'll be young kids being asked "What do you know about Japan?" and they'll answer "They can fly".
Its the fly-through-the-air-for 50 feet-stepping-on-a-guy's-face-type kick move I especially hate.

I don't mind it in moderation; it's so cheesy that it's often a lot of fun. But, I do prefer unedited live-action martial arts, to marvel at what these guys can do with the human body.
I guess I`m in the minority, I like fantastical martial arts fights. I am a child of Dragonball
