I jsut discovered that TCM has a DVD collection containing several movies I've been waiting for. I just ordered:
* LEPKE
* DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK
* BAD RONALD
* FREEBIE AND THE BEAN
* DOC SAVAGE: THE MAN OF BRONZE
Why was I not informed of this collection?!?!?!
You were in South America when the memo went out.
Where's our slideshow of the "scenery" down there anyway? :teddyr:

Unfortunately, I took around 150 pictures and not one of them shows a hot Brazilian woman in a thong. I have let you all down once again.
And we were going to get you a fruit basket :bluesad:

Yes. I had to show some restraint and limit myself to five DVDs.
Movies Unlimited!
I have used them for years. You can find them under the purchasing links at the bottom of most reviews.
They fell of my often used list because other online retailers caught up with their selection of unusual titles. Movies Unlimited is where I first purchased "The Terror of Tiny Town" and "The Sound of Horror." They are just opening up that archive section. You'll be seeing my first review of one this coming weekend, with "The Bermuda Depths!"
Be careful . . . Movies Unlimited is selling some of these titles for $24.99 or more and they're only $17.99 if you buy them direct from TCM.

Quick turnaround time, too. Don't get sucked in by the "expensive" shipping they offer. I selected the cheapest shipping method and they shipped all 5 DVDs within a day or two and the USPS tracking information indicates it should be at my house today or tomorrow. So, less than a week from order to delivery using the cheapest shipping possible.
Dude, really? Razorback!
[grabs wallet]
Ooo... And Crescendo. And The Adventures of Mark Twain. And Captain Sinbad.
I don't know how long it will last with Halloween over, but if you go straight to the Warner Brothers site, they have 25% off all horror titles in their archive collection. I nabbed four today:
Razorback
From Hell it Came
Don't Be Afraid of the Dark
The Bermuda Depths

I watched LEPKE and DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK last night. The quality on both is fine. However, these are definitely "no frills" DVDs. They don't have animated menus, extra materials like trailers or interviews . . . they don't even have a "scene access" list. The "menu" screen has only one option: "play movie." And it has some text explaining that you can jump to various spots in the movie in 10 minute increments by using your forward and reverse buttons. Sort of surprising because these DVDs certainly aren't being sold at bargain-basement prices. But I'm still pleased with the movies and will buy more.
