Out of curiousity, has anyone seen this movie before? I've watched the Mystery Science Theater before and it looks terrible, REALLY terrible. I'm surprised that show hasn't released the episode on a DVD set yet, but that may have to do with MGM having the rights. Anyways, this movie is really hard to come by and I have only seen a VHS release for it, so I am pretty sure not many people seen it. However, to the ones that have seen it, what do you think of it?
Edit: Thank you Andrew and Circus for pointing out my error.
I've watched the HD widescreen print from MGM last year.
The film is a mixed bag. There's some fun cheese but also a good amount of suck. I still enjoyed it for what it was and I wouldn't mind a DVD at all.
Perhaps "Robot Holocaust" vice "Robert Holocaust" was the intent? I do have the latter film, and the metallic snake monsters coming out of the walls are wild. Like something you'd see in a silly music video.
I'd like to say that a movie called "Robert Holocaust" about a poet with "Firestarter"-like powers would be pretty funny.
Just don't call him Bob :teddyr:
Rumor has it that Robot Holocaust was the the very first movie intended to be released direct to video.
you can watch herehttp://www.fancast.com/movies/Robot-Holocaust/70630/1023452360/Robot-Holocaust/videos (http://www.fancast.com/movies/Robot-Holocaust/70630/1023452360/Robot-Holocaust/videos)
Ah, Robert Holocaust, the worst of all the holocausts... :tongueout:
Is Robert Holocaust related to Robert Cop?

Oh man! :bouncegiggle:
Hey, anybody play that old, crappy fighting game...."Rise Of The Roberts"
The VHS cover for Robot Holocaust makes me want to watch it more than anything.

Don't be fooled. The Robot Holocaust box art is one of the most deceptive pieces of box art ever. Rarely has a piece of art been so cool and yet gotten paired with a movie so shoddy.
That said, I nevertheless adore Robot Holocaust, in all its terribleness. Tim Kincaid is the true heir apparent to the throne of Ed Wood, in my opinion. If only he made a few more sci-fi/horror pictures before returning to gay porn (not a joke).
PS> Yes, Circus. I played Rise Of The "Roberts" when I was a kid. Had a copy of it for the Sega Gamegear. That game sucked soooo bad. I thought I was one of the only people to have suffered its wrath. Now I feel less alone. Thanks, Circus.
