Obama's remarks at the Fort Hood memorial service today were magnificent, patriotic, and presidential. He appropriately remembered and honored the fallen in a very personal and touching way. His comments were very eloquent and apparently heartfelt.
I have had and no doubt will continue to have serious political differences with this Democratic President. But today, he was the spokesman for a grieving nation, and he spoke well.
Well done, Mr. President.
I think I've said this before, but President Obama is the one (and probably the only) politician that I would like to meet. :smile:
In one of our classes today, the teacher played some of what Obama said. He was very good.
