I was watching a show earlier on the Military Channel called "Medal of Honor".
This particular episode was about Vietnam rescues.
It brought back a memory of a film I saw years ago.
In it, a group of soldiers crash land their chopper and are surrounded on all sides by the NVA.
They're inside the helicopter shooting out of it when the M60 gunner's gun jams and he gets shot and killed.
It's total pandemonium inside the chopper and it seems that there is no escape for them.
I can't remember if they got out or not.
I don't remember if it was a flashback scene or not and it would've been an 80's or 90's movie.
Anyone know what war movie this is?
this sounds like bat 21 with gene hackman and danny glover
Bat*21 does have a very similar scene to what Ash described. In that film, a helicopter is downed and the gunner is shot dead. When the copter lands, it is surrounded by VC and all but two soldiers are killed while still aboard.
BlackHawk Down.... ?

BlackHawk Down.... ?
Well that would be fine, if North Vietnamese and Viet Cong came from Somalia, but I think we're a bit off the map here, lol :tongueout: But in keeping with the spirit of war movies, BD was a
great movie!
Pretty sure it's Bat 21.
I'll have to put Bat 21 on my Netflix queue to be sure. (I think it's available to stream instantly.)
I've seen Bat 21 but it's been over 10 years.
Watched the scene last night and it is Bat 21.
Thanks guys!
