I so love that movie. The facial expressions of the model were so endearing to me.

That is amazing, although I wish the article had made mention of the fact that Willis O'Brien was the genius behind it all. The late great Forrest Ackerman had one of the other Kong armatures, most of his sizable collection was auctioned off after he died. Its a shame someone doesn't open a classic movie monster museum with some of this stuff.

That would be ****ing awesome! I would invest in that in a heartbeat. If I couldn't invest in it, I'd buy a year pass to it and go all the time.
I'd go the the monster movie museum.
I know Peter Jackson owns some of the original Kong Props. He showed them on some of the extras on the King Kong (2005) DVD.
