Gang, I'm not one to shill at the drop of a hat (outside of my own blog, naturally) but I just have to give these nice folks a plug, since they have been so good to me.
The site Swaptree is a community which allows members to trade DVDs, CDs, books and video games with other members for other items they want. In the matter of a few months time, I have traded out some old books and DVDs that I had and got the following DVDs:
Donnie Darko
Hercules in New York
Koyannisqatsi
The Avengers
and am in the process of getting these DVDs:
Battlestar Galactica (1978)
Jaws: The Revenge
Star Trek (2009)
All for postage. Coolness.
So yes; it's Swaptree and I like trading out my old for their old; it's all free for joining and costs nothing to look and see what's available there, so just type in their name in any search engine (I won't post their direct link here, since that WOULD be shilling) and give 'em a look-see!
At this time swaptree is only available to residents of the United States. :bluesad:

Oh. Sorry about that, all of you outside the US of A; postage fees and all, you know. :bluesad:
I really should look into this. I hate to pay full retail price for DVDs and this would be a great supplement to my rentals.
Ive had it bookmarked for awhile just haven't gotten around to doing it. I have a ton dvds that I will never watch again so I should do this.
