Is the R-rated or unrated version reviewed on here? I have rented the R-rated version and am upset that I may be missing out. But since there is stuff cut out of mine;
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WAT SI MISSING FORM TIHS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
About 4 minutes of the lawnmower scene is cut from the R-version, the full head-crushing scene when Lionel's mother steps on the rat monkey's head, a part where the normal monkey's blood drips on Paquita's shows, and the part in the beginning (when the people are trying to get the rat monkey off the island, and the guy gets bitten by it) has abotu 30 seconds of footage cut from it.
The DVD of Dead Alive/Braindead is almost always uncut.
and when the priest gets impaled, and when the guy is going to the washroom on the grave and gets killed.

dont forget the priest and nurse getting cut up with the lawnmower whilst still making love. - thats cut from the version your talking about
The original cut of BRAINDEAD is 104 minutes and is available in Engalnd and New Zealand in that version (hope you have a PAL video system). Their are two American theatrical cuts of BRAINDEAD under the silly title DEAD ALIVE. One is the 97 minute unrated version and the 85 minute R rated cut.
I am really praying for Anchor Bay to release BRAINDEAD in it's 104 minute cut. That would be nice.
hee hee got to blackstar.co.uk and buy it from there, uncut garanteed bro
I don't have a PAL video system, only NTSC format. And yet, I can buy a copy of BRAINDEAD from Japan that will be in NTSC format. But it will have those annoying Japanese subtitles that I just can't stand.
Is there any NTSC uncut version available in England for purchase?
Ah I suspected there was more to this movie's reputation. In Canada, SCREAM played the American unedited version of DEAD ALIVE...so you guys say BRAINDEAD is 104 minutes..why don't I doubt that for a minute? so you can only get this in Europe then?
I saw that airing of dead alive on scream, For some reason the music was REALLY LOUD and the dialouge was Really low.

Yeah they really do have a sound problem..I've told them about it before on their site.
