The Blob (1988) remake enter the Hall of Shame. Rightfully so?
I totally agree with it being in the Hall Of Shame. Theres nothing really memorable about it.
I thought it was a fun little B movie. It had fairly good characters and a goofy plot. But now it's been shamed :buggedout:
It's fine, but it wasn't competitive with the other movies in its group.

I liked the Blob remake and the ending (besides Demon Seed, I also like to see a part 2 from the Blob Remake)
The only problem I see with the Blob Remake its not a cult film and the other movies on the list are cult films.
I'd perhaps be offended if it were the "good movies fame or shame game," Blob is among the better remakes :P
The Beast of Yucca Flats (1961) enters the Hall of Shame.
I never understood Beast of Yucca Flats' appeal among bad movie lovers. I guess that film is just too hardcore for me :bluesad:

:bluesad:
Nobody mentioned that The Killer Shrews entered the game.
The first movie to enter the Hall of Fame: Plan 9 from Outer Space (1959). Congrats

And it was exchanged with Hobgoblins
Never saw The Beast of Yucca Flats, so I guess I'm not to sad to see it go. Both Hobgoblins and The killer Shrews are favorites of mine, though I can't quite imagine what the original Hobgoblins would be like - I've only seen the MST3K version.
The Beast of Yucca Flats was an ok pick but it was against a very good cult lineup.
Although I do like and almost love The killer Shrews... I would like to see it get fame... :)
Yay for Plan 9 (although I believe the movie is more Mainstream because of "Edwood" then a cult movie)

Drink some wine and let your imagination flow :teddyr: seriously, i was a little drunk and it was FUNNY! :bouncegiggle:
The Blob doesn't deserve to be in the Hall of Shame. It's great, how can you not like something with a giant killer slime?
I hate to sound like an ass, but Plan 9 of course would make it into the hall of fame, as it's the movie almost everyone compares other worst movies to. It's so famous that it doesn't need to be on worst movies lists; it's a given!
Army of Darkness (1992) made the cut and enters the Hall of Fame!

hehe... they only thing good about Army of Darkness is Bruce Campbell...
Saddly, I had very high hopes for Army of Darkness when I seen the ending of Evil Dead 2 (In the show) I was expecting something much better then Bruce Campbell one-liners, He is being attacked by "little" Bruce Campbells that you could "see" they were poorly matted onto the screen, Bruce Campbell could teach the people how to fight back and that skeletion stand-in that gets chopped up by the giant fan blade.
Pieces (1982) enters the Hall of Fame.
Hobgoblins (1988) was put to Shame.
Happy to see Pieces on top :)
Monster a-Go Go (1965) dances into the Hall of Shame.
Manos: The Hands of Fate (1966) enters the Hall of Fame.
Tremors (1990) joins the Hall of Fame.
YES, MANOS! :teddyr:
Poor Yucca Flats though; what did it ever do to you?? ...What DIDN'T it do to you?? I'll tell you: it didn't do EVERYTHING to you! It didn't do everything at all! ...T'was what other b-films proudly look down on... :C
The Concorde ... Airport '79 (1979) lands in the Hall of Shame.
I think The Concorde ... Airport '79 (1979) was a silly pick... :)

The Killer Shrews (1959) enter the Shame.
The Phantom of 10,000 Leagues (1955) was put to Shame.
Never seen that one and since it was put to Shame I'm in no rush to watch it.
hellbilly -
You mean Fame/Shame game serves a purpose? Sweeeeeeeet!
Let's just say I'm a little less interested now :teddyr:
Actually, I think it does serve that purpose well. Looking at the thread more closely now, I can see where films ending up in the Hall of Shame should be avoided, at least based on the ones I've seen.
Street Trash (1987) made the cut and is joining the best in bad.
