"While there's plenty of gore and nudity, with this entry Troma really amped up the humor element. While there was certainly an element of humor in the original, it was mostly darker humor, while THE TOXIC AVENGER PART II is brighter, more cartoony...Malfaire even refers to "comic book villains like ourselves" at one point, and shows a clip from the original film in explaining Toxie's origins. I haven't seen a film this metafictional since SPACEBALLS."

I've grown to like this film alot over the years, after giving in and accpeting how daft it is. At first though, I was extremely disappointed with it. I thought if they had made a more serious Toxie film it could be great. Still, it has the greatest movie theme song of all time....
