QuoteFORT COLLINS, Colo. – The parents who carried out the balloon boy hoax were sentenced to jail Wednesday and given strict probation conditions that forbid them from earning any money from the spectacle for four years.
Richard Heene was sentenced to 90 days in jail, including 60 days of work release that will let him pursue his job as a construction contractor while serving his time. His wife, Mayumi, was sentenced to 20 days in jail.
Richard Heene choked back tears as he said he was sorry, especially to the rescue workers who chased down false reports that his 6-year-old son had floated away in a balloon on Oct. 15. It was a stunt designed to generate attention for a reality TV show.
 good. Hopefully this will make the next attention seeking douchebag think twice before behaving like this.
I feel sorry for the kid who opened his big fat mouth in the TV interview that led to all of this... but I don't feel sorry for his stupid parents.
Hey 3mnkids, it's pretty funny, we both posted this with the same thread name. http://www.badmovies.org/forum/index.php/topic,128075.new.html (http://www.badmovies.org/forum/index.php/topic,128075.new.html)

I just figured the title from the article would work better than the one I had originally planned.."daddy dip s**t gets jail time"

Calling that father a dips**t is actually being nice to the man.
