The nominations are in: it's time to vote on the worst movie of 2009! My vote is for THE BOX; my prediction is REVENGE OF THE FALLEN will get the most votes.
My vote~ Revenge of the fallen.. Im a little surprised to see Moon on the list though. I really enjoyed that movie.
My vote, Land of the Lost. Terrible movie. :buggedout:

I guess that they meant the end of a franchise.

I'm still going with DRAG ME TO HELL. I'm sure some of the other choices are worse, but I haven't seen them. I didn't even hate DMTH, I just thought it wasn't very good.
I also disagree with MOON. I thought that was very well done.
Sorry, I can't vote as I haven't seen any of these movies. If the Friday The 13th remake was on the list I would vote for it.
My vote goes to Revenge of The Fallen, without question. It takes the humor that worked in the last movie, and turns it into something awkward, cliched, and in a few cases, mildly racist.
After wasting a perfectly good afternoon, allow me to add Avatar to the list.
MOON was nominated for both worst and best movie of the year. I was surprised to see it nominated for worst movie, too.
I voted for GI Joe. Of the ones on the list I've seen, that one was the biggest disappointment. Had potential, had some good moments, but ultimately didn't come together. For all the fast-paced action, it was a damned slow movie. But that's what you get when you make a full-length movie with so little plot. And the liberties they took with the story. The Baroness is Cobra Commander's sister who was once engaged to Duke, who also happened to be an old army buddy of the Commander? George Lucas would be proud. Come to think of it, the idea of a smart young man turning against his former mentor and becoming a badly disfigured villain seems very familiar somehow.
Aside from that, anybody else think the new GI Joe seemed inspired by Megaforce? Top-secret, elite military unit with advanced technology and personnel from around the world, operating out of a vast underground complex in the desert. It was practically a remake. If Duke had taken off on a flying motorcycle, it would not have surprised me in the least.
What in the hell is Moon doing up there?
LAND OF THE LOST.
Putrid, awful, bad in a very bad way.
Ha!!
I didn't see ONE of these flicks this year. God, how lucky am I?

You haven't seen Drag me to hell?
Man, you're missing out!
In my opinion, it was a great movie.
New Moon.
I wanted to walk out of the theater. I may have to buy a copy on DVD just to smash it.
How anyone could enjoy that s**t is beyond me.

I think it helps to be a 14-16 year old girl.

But then you'd be supporting a terrible cause; the Twilight movies! Download it*, burn it to a DVD, and smash that!
*I am not supporting illegal downloading or copyright infringement in any way in that statement.

I think the key word in here is "burn".
Burn it!
But seriously, don't pay money for it.

Well, we forgive blondes for
anything. (Cue Paula...)
I didn't vote because the movies I did see on that list I didn't mind. The rest I avoided because I knew they would suck. :bluesad: Suppose I should've nominated one.

I even forgive blondes for majoring in chemistry! They're blonde, they don't know any better...
