I guess it's due to Glenn Beck that failing Murdoch enterprises such as The Weekly Standard, Fox business and FOX Movie channel, where I saw this, stay in business. I never thought I'd say it but thank you glenn beck (not for the first two).

This is 80's straight to video done right: plenty of tension, note perfect casting (theres no doubt in my mind the villain is as much of a prick in real life as he is in this. thats good casting AND acting) twists and turns and nary a dull spot. By the time you start wondering about those hole-y things (like how good can this company possibly be that people are willing to kill to WORK there?) You are at least 2/3 of the way done. Besides "Hard ticket to Hawaii" this is I think the best straight to to video production I've ever seen (I'm not an expert on the genre). Numerous cool explosions and murders. Pam Grier is the big name star and this is somewhat similar too but better than her "Class of 1999" .
Unlike that similarly robot-death laden 80's affair, this has no child actors, only one late teenager, and it's actually kind of sophisticated, inasfar as a sci fi action movie about a killer robot can be. It deals with adult issues like love, jeaousy, careers, and it all takes place at night.
So forget that Juillete Binchoche stuff, light some candles and pour a glass of Cabernay whatever and watch "The Vindicator".
I need to (re) watch this soon. I bought the German DVD a few years ago but never got around giving it a spin. It's been ages since I first saw this.

one of my all time favorites! i saw this as a kid and it really stuck with me. i searched for a couple of years and i ended up buying brazillian dvd version called "robo-man" off of ebay. very few people have ever heard of this and i really think this one is under appreciated, especially the vindicator suit design. though the end was a little unsatisfying, i wont spoil it, but the vindicator should have at least had some more dialogue or something.
