I love Boogie Nights although it took my a few watches to appreciate it. Its one of those movies that captures a moment in time and in this case the moment is the 70s porn industry which is facisnating to me.
HALL OF SHAME:
The Sixth Sense. Though, of course, it's really not a shameful movie at all. It was just up against top-notch competition.
I updated the hall, sorry for the delay, my computer broke down so I lost interest in the game for a while. Please don't be shy to discuss the game here.
Blue Velvet (1986) enters the Hall of Fame
Body Double (1984) was put to shame :drink:
Brazil (1985) enters shame :bouncegiggle:
Body Double in Shame? Blasphemy! :bluesad:
Personally I feel Brazil is a cinema masterpiece but it certainly lost to very high quality opposition in this case.

Thankyou!
Psycho slowly slashed its way to the fame
Rear Window (1954) joined the Hall of Fame. Now we have two Hitchcock films in Fame.
Well Hitchcock was a fantastic director. Wouldn't be surprised to see yet another film or two of his enter the Fame and possibly some might be considered for Shame too.
My favorite Hitchcock film hasn't even been nominated yet.

Could have used you when I was trying to save it all alone.
I really think this game is the hardest one to usually vote on...because however you vote, someone, often many, will think of that film as a good movie.
The Godfather (1972) is a movie that could have been better if it weren't so damb long. Because of this, it enters shame.
Heat (1995) enters shame thanks to me. The Exorcist entered the game.
Groundhog Day (1993) enters fame
Pulp Fiction (1994) sadly enters shame. How the hell can it be worse than a childish movie like Willie Wonka
What one person sees as a brilliant fantasy, someone else might see something else quite different. Pulp Fiction didn't deserve to go to shame but there was nothing else to really vote against....it was just the lesser, to me personally and obviously some others too, of 5 quality films. Willy Wonka is not without its flaws but there's a lot of great stuff going on in the film and not just on the surface either.
I really think you're taking these games a little too seriously vukxfiles.
There's a difference between a "children's" movie and a "childish" movie. I remember I went through a period in my teens when I couldn't stand children's movies anymore. It took me some time to get some distance from childhood so that I could appreciate the movies again from a new perspective. Now, I consider some "children's" movies like WIZARD OF OZ and WILLIE WONKA among the best movies ever made.
Full Metal Jacket (1987) enters shame very quickly.
