Fresh from ze cow, zank you. :teddyr:
Actually, well done. I was invited to a swanky French restaurant in Pretoria a few years back by a client and never having been to such a smart place before, ordered a steak, well done from the owner. The poor guy nearly collapsed and he said that he would not cook it, but his wife would. :buggedout: :buggedout:

Medium rare. Favorite steaks: New York and Filet Mignon with bacon wrap. With maybe a side of baked potato with sour cream, chives and shredded cheese, and a cup of French onion soup. And a large Coke.
Sounds a hell of a lot better than this crappy ramen dish I'm eating.
Medium rare to medium, covered in fried onions and mushrooms, and occasionally a nice dab of herbed butter.
Medium rare, with Lowry's seasoning salt and some A-1 or Heinz 57 sauce. I also like to shish-kabob it with mushrooms and sweet peppers.
medium for me, I don't want beef jerky yet I don't want viruses.
A medium sirloin, cooked with onions and rosemary. Then smothered in French mustard. :twirl:

Rare to medium rare. Prime Rib must be rare.
When I was working in Spain a few years ago, the receptionist at the office said, "If you like your steak well-done, then you don't like steak." I agree. Well done takes all the flavor out of it.
As my pappy used to say:
This is how I want my steak: Get a cow, wipe its butt, blow its nose, show it a picture of a candle and throw it on a plate.
As I once said to my almost-father in law, who owns a beef cattle farm:
"Run the cow by the table. I'll take what I want."
I like steak that ranges from rare-well done
Like most people, I think I like mine medium rare. I've found anything cooked more well done than that is too well-done. And having, at least, prime rib served rare, it was too rare for my taste. I was almost attempted to send it back.
As for my father, it was: "Wipe off the cow's a**. Throw it onto the griddle. Turn it over once. And then serve it to me. Just the way it is."
Interestingly enough, beef is not the only thing you can have cooked to a medium rare. I was ordering a tuna steak in a seafood restaurant, and they asked me how I liked it. That threw me for a moment, then I remembered how I like my beef steak, so I had them cook it to a medium rare. It went over real well cooked that way.
Raw. Granted I will let them gray the outside a little if it freaks people out. Going to a steakhouse with me can be fun cause I will send back a steak if it has grill marks.

"you can't modify karma to this user" huh....sorry RC I tried!
I did not vote because I don't like steak.
Sometimes I like the flavor, but (I don't know why this is) I can't stand the texture.
I have always been a chicken type of guy.
When I tell a group of people this at least two of them will always be shocked.
