Ever watch a good movie that pulls out a huge f you moment? What I mean by this is that you'll be enjoying the film, excited by what is to come, and then all of a sudden, the film will just do something completely stupid, horrible, or idiotic out of nowhere that ruins the mood or the movie for you. The same thing can apply for a bad movie in which this event or incident makes the movie even worse for you. It could happen during the middle of the film or it could be the ending of it.
So, can you name any specific moments from any film? For me, the ending to Monster A Go-Go does that for me.
Hmmmmm...
The first 30 seconds of Rock-n-Roll Nightmare part 2. The movie said to me, "Oh your a fan of Rock-n-Roll Nightmare, hehe, you have to be a fan of Rock-n-Roll Nightmare to be renting part 2... Oh, F you!"
The I-didn't-see-that-coming ending to Ghost Ship. :buggedout:
no country for old men.
the part where josh brolin dies prior to any sort of big show down with the bad guy, plus the end as well.
I know, I know...the book was acuratley held to...but in this case, it is not a book that translates well to film. i sat there saying "WHY did I watch this again?"
The shocking reveal of who the killer is in The Crimson Rivers. Not really an f-you moment but a major shock nevertheless. :buggedout:
The end of Supernova - it was a pretty crappy movie to start with, but then the ending, or total lack thereof, as if to say "We're leaving it for the viewer to contemplate on their own, isn't that clever of us?" No it's not. You're a freakin' moron.
Anacondas Hunt for the Blood Orchid - that horribly, horribly annoying comedy relief character appears to die. But no, he lives! Oh god. Putrid movie to start with, and that moment just took it a good distance beyond putrid.
The first one that jumps to mind is AI, where the movie comes to a satisfyingly dramatic and poignant conclusion, only to keep right on going (and going and going) into a totally different ending that felt tacked on for the sole purpose of undoing everything that was dramatic and poignant. Not that I liked the movie that much, but that was the point where it went from a watchable movie with kind of a dark, pulp sci-fi feel to it, to a disappointing and overlong piece of indulgent crap.
The mind erasing kiss in Superman 2.
Anakin's "turn" to the Dark Side in ROTS.
Jar Jar Bink's arrival in The Phantom Menace.
Any film where the monster dies but the ending hints or flat out shows that the monster survived.
In Manos, where the women wrestle and then decided that the little girl will be part of the clan

Yeah, that was also very distrubing in many different ways.

Video Violence 2.
Spoiler here for people that might actually care.
The scene where we find out that their previous victims didn't really come back to kill them. Sure, take away the only thing in the movie that resembled a plot or character the audience could root for, why don'cha?
The entirety of Rob Zombie's Halloween 2.
