Title: CEMETERY OF TERROR (1985)

I still don't know if I can abide by Mexican filmaking but here's another one.  This is definately an official bad movie.  It's not a jokey "bad" movie that is really a teen comedy and it's also not a bad movie that is secretely a rather good movie.  I hate to burst your bubble but "Troll 2" is pretty good.  It might be so bad it's good but it's still good.  So is Hard ticket to Hawaii and Plan 9 for that matter.

Like all geneuinly bad movies the first half hour of this is just alot of talking and is utterly boring.  At the same time you can't help but like the cast of mixed up teenagers in their mid 20's.  the girls range from pretty to the kind who start to look good after a bit of drinking, similar for the men except for the main guy who is a prime example of the type street carnage recently identified as shamelust (http://streetbonersandtvcarnage.com/blog/shamelust/) basically so unattractive that they are attractive. Star hugo Stiglitz easily fits into this catagory as well.

The other group we meet are the young kids who are charming and sometimes hilarious, especially the head kid.  I don't have the ablity to put scenes on a page but there is one where he is sitting at a table waiting for his dinner to cook.  The pan on the stove goes up in flames and he doesn't even look at it, just sort of boredly goes "Sis, the pan"   It was really really funny.

edit

okay if you have the patience or a good connection it's at 4:50 here

no subtitles unfortunately but you get the drift.

The more overtly good second half was like Scooby Doo meets return of the Living Dead or something.  As presented by a not that impressive local haunted house.  It won me over and I will likely by this, likely for under 4 dollars (it's a double feature).  no extras, reproduction and film quality both mediocre.

Fun flick. Glad to know I'm not the only one who has seen this.
