That's cool. I've been wanting to see Attack of the Crab Monsters for a while now.
Hooray! The original "Not of This Earth" is long overdue on DVD.
I'm gonna have to check that one out since I'm sadly ignorant of the work of Roger Corman. Shout Factory are releasing a truckload of Corman produced & directed films to DVD and Blu-ray this year, look:
ROCK 'N' ROLL HIGH SCHOOL DVD & BD (May 4)
SUBURBIA DVD (May 4)
DEATH RACE 2000 DVD and BD (June 22)
WARLORDS OF THE 21ST CENTURY/DEATHSPORT (double feature DVD) (June 22)
FORBIDDEN WORLD DVD (June 22)
GALAXY OF TERROR DVD (July 20)
ATTACK OF THE CRAB MONSTERS/NOT OF THIS EARTH (double
feature DVD) (July 20)
PIRANHA DVD and BD (August 3)
HUMANOIDS FROM DEEP DVD (August 3)
UP FROM THE DEPTHS/DEMON OF PARADISE (double feature DVD)
STARCRASH DVD and BD (September 7)
BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS (September 7)
NOT OF THIS EARTH (remake) DVD (September 28)
TIME WALKER/DEATH SPACE DVD (double feature DVD) (September 28)

Just for the record, the
NOT OF THIS EARTH "remake" is
garbage not worth wasting time on.
The original
NOT OF THIS EARTH is a favorite of mine; I have a not so great quality bootleg, but it's better than nothing! Now all I have to do is remember in July to come back and order!!! Thanks,
Bela.

Excellent news! "Galaxy of Terror" and "Forbidden World" are really overdue for DVD releases, and the DVDs for "Death Race 2000" and "Battle Beyond the Stars" have been out of print and are expensive to buy now.

Which remake, the terrible Traci Lords remake (1988) (http://www.badmovies.org/capsules/n/noteartht/) or the 1995 remake with Michael York?
Awesome!!!

That's Flea pre-Chili Pepers sticking the live rat in his mouth!) :bouncegiggle:
Corman is classic fast-paced B gold! While I was at the Creppy Classics site I ordered a double feature of THE DAY THE WORLD ENDED with the crazy 3 eyed -four armed horned monster, and the cool SHE CREATURE! (I also bought a vhs of Al Adamson's DRACULA vs FRANKENSTEIN...which is more Z than B...)
Let's just pray that they didnt give them the Lucas treament.....

a WAAAHHHH???? This is stuPENDUS news!
I have a OLD vhs copy of the film (Thanks RCM!) which is WAAY cool because I prefer vhs's to dvds if I can find them (i guss im old fassioned that way) but I try not to watch it too often because every time i do, it seems like it about to croke. I hope the dvd cover art is the same as the vhs and not some photoshoped SHLOCK!
This is great news....regarding the 1988 Traci Lords version - I liked that one. :teddyr:
I'm looking forward to getting that one along with HUMANOIDS FROM THE DEEP & DEATHSPORT.
I do hope Netflix will have the other ones I want to rent like: FORBIDDEN WORLD, GALAXY OF TERROR & STARCRASH.

Oh yeh, forgot about that last one, which I've not seen. I was referring to the
TRACI LORDS farce; of course, to be fair, it's been at least 20 years since I watched that one.

z'Okay, z'okay.
Chris, you my Prince. I can see the merits of that film from a certain perspective. The original film has a unique tone that is indicental or accidental, but unmatched in '50s SciFi. The remake, to put it most euphemistically, is merely candy.
