On the opposite end of the "Food You're A Later Bloomer On" thread, have you given a food a serious chance many times but ended up NEVER liking it. A big one for me is eggplant. I'm not sure if its the texture but I simply don't enjoy it in any form. Prime rib comes to mind. I simply don't like it although I've tried it in many forms, many times. Theres more but I'll post later.
Potatoes, Leaks, peanut butter, pork, ham, sausage, cranberries, and many more
Mac and Cheese and cauliflower.
All green vegetables of any kind. I can barely stomach any of them because the taste is so awful.
Salads are the worst. Just the smell of a salad will make me nauseous.
The only way I'd ever eat a salad is if I was starving and would die if I didn't eat and salad was the only thing left.
The vegetable aisle is one place I never go in the grocery store.
LIVER .... No way, no how, not ever! :buggedout:
Flackbait mentioned cauliflower...that stuff not only smells bad but it tastes like Styrofoam.
Onions as more than a seasoning. If I find an onion in something I'm turned right off.
-Ed
I'm not keen on fish of just about any sort.
salad dressings- what is it, vinegar? smoked stuff
I'm going to agree with onions. I understand and appreciate their importance as an ingredient in some recipes, but I hate them in big honking crunchy chunk form!! I kind of like them on pizza if they're small enough and cooked enough and I can sometimes take a few nibbles of an onion ring, but they usually make me sick afterwards. Onions should come with a warning and always be on the side like peanuts. I've gotten to the point where I am afraid to ask for food without onions because sometimes it seems like it just makes them put MORE onions... and you can't undo onions! even if you take them off theres still onion taint burnt into everything they touched!
Mealies (corn-on-the-cob) and salads make me want to projectile vomit. :buggedout:
Tomatoes. I like them cooked, and I like most anything with tomatoes in it, but I just don't like the raw tomato itself. The taste is overpowering.
Most types of melons, eggplant, spinach, avocado, most of those weird cheeses. Pickled herring is gross. Most pickled stuff is pretty gross, except pickles. Cucumbers are terrible too.

My sentiments exactly!
Cauliflower
Tripe
Turnip
Liver
Cranberries/Cran-sauce (although, I do like Craisins)
Grapefruit
Avocado
Melons (with exception to watermelon)
Green beans
Peas (although I will tolerate them in certain foods)
Canned succotash
Hominy
Corn chowder soup
Tomatoes (another thing I tolerate in certain foods, or like in sauce form)
Yeah, it's mostly fruits and veggies I don't like. I can't name a whole lot of meat I don't like. Mmm... beef, chicken, turkey, ham, pork, venison, rabbit, fish... I love it all!
most anything tropical: pineapple, coconut. even fish!
Mac and Cheese - I will eat it sometimes, but for the most part I try and ignore it. The reason I got turned off from Mac and Cheese was that 5 or 6 years ago I ate some mac and cheese at my job for my lunch break that night, and not very long after I went to bed I ended up vomiting it all back up. After that I tried to not eat it.
Scalloped potatoes - I got sick after eating them when I was a young lad, and thus avoided them like the plague.
Tuna - I love fish, but not tuna.
Omelets - The last time I had an omelet was sometime either in 1994 or 1995 and after I ate it, I got sick maybe an hour or two after finishing it so I haven't been able to eat omelets since then.
Most melons except for watermelon even though I don't eat it that much any more, and peaches.
Ice Cream sandwiches...no thanks.

Just leaves more of 'em for me :teddyr:
I agree about prime rib though. I don't understand why people like it - It's plain old beef cut into very thin slices so it gets cold almost instantly. Sometimes it's got some stringy fat or something hanging off it as well.
I also don't really care for spice cake. Just tastes bland. I've had a few that were decent, though.
And speaking of cakes, fruit cake. Yech.
Green Beans, they are the bane of humanity
Spinach.

I am the exact same way Paquita. For as long as I can remember, I have always loathed the taste of onions. I also dislike tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, cauliflower, peppers, eggplant, mushrooms, okra, and cucumber/pickles.
Anything that is way spicy, ribs, sliced bread, but i do like rolls
QuoteI also dislike tomatoes, ketchup, mustard...
Condiments and me enjoy a tricky relationship. I'm just not a fan of mustard of any sort. Relish, give or take with most a "give" attitude. Ketchup I only find enjoyable if it is on the side. The only real condiment I actually enjoy "on" my sandwiches is mayo.
Liver
Squash
Creamed Corn
Yams
Parsnips
Brussel Sprouts
Broccoli
CORN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nasty stuff. Oddly enough, though, I love cornbread and hominy.
Also, every single dish served at Schlotsky's. Man, they make some gross grub!!!
I don't like salmon. I hate salmon. I don't care how it's prepared. I will not eat it unless I am starving to death.

It's Russian for 'sluts'. :teddyr:
Most cruciferous vegetables: kale, collard greens, brussell sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower.
I just read on Wikipedia that "It has been found that cruciferous vegetables are less likely to be eaten by people who can taste PTC,[6] due to the existence of compounds related to PTC in such vegetables." So maybe that explains why I dislike almost the entire class of vegetables.
Pears
avocado
any kind of greens (turnip, mustard, collard)
blueberries
raspberries
lobster
crab
black beans and rice
CHEESE- Absolutely, one hundred percent the one food I absolutely will not eat. Which makes it difficult in some restaurants, as half their menus have food with cheese automatically on it. I have to stress to the waitress: NO Cheese. They get frustratated.
Mayonnaise- Dunno what it is, dunno how it got invented. I hate the smell, taste, consistency, everything about it.
Beets- No. No thanks.
Coconut- I don't think it's the taste so much as the consistency.
Grapefruit- Just appallingly disgusting.

I dispise coconut flavored anything. God that stuff makes me want to puke.
Grapefruit I don't like either. Kind of tastes like puking after eating an orange. Good thing is I'm strictly forbidden to eat it because of the meds I'm on.
Another one I just thought of, Pineapple. I'll eat it if its in a fruit cup because the other fruit usually blend with it. However by itself, no thanks.

Puking an orange is NOT a fun experience. I had a long, long night of drinking a couple months back. Decided to start the next day with an orange for breakfast. Didn't even digest. And that's about what a Grapefruit does taste like.
