Is the term "meh" (which seems to saturate the Internet these days) quickly becoming as overused and tedious as "LOL", "LMAO", and all their off-shoots? Or is this just my imagination again (rising up from the bottom of another bottle of scotch)?
I seem to remember Dr. Freex using it in one of his reviews to good effect, which would have been years ago. I'd just use it as a replacement for "bah" "bollocks" or any other dismissive word. I haven't noticed its widespread use of late, like you obviously have. That might be due to which sites we read and their populations. Sometimes certain words circulate in certain circles.
I'm somewhat of a fan of the word. Three letters to express complete disinterest; it's quite handy.
Yeah I like it too personally. I've used in on this forum many times. Matter of fact I think I learned it on this forum.
I use it quite a bit too. No idea where I picked it up, but I do use it quite a bit... Even outside of the internet. In the *gasp* real world.
I think my use of it in real life is kind of pronounced "ehhhhh". Example;
"Mark do you want to go out for lunch..."
"Ehhh...nah, I packed a lunch..."
i use it in the real world, but i don't see how it is used on the internet
It's a bit like blah. I use that word a lot, too.
Its sort of an acknowledgement of something existing but not having anything goodor bad about it. How is the sandwich? Meh.

I usually use "eh" or "pffft". "Meh" looks too close to "Meth" to me.
Never used it myself, don't mind if others do.
I actually prefer "meh" over "teh" which is sadly making a comeback at some places I frequent on the internet.
Meh.
Actually-I learned how to use a computer in 2006-about the time I discovered Andrews fine site. I used it-because I used it in everyday life. When thigs got bad-meh-oh well. Another day in paradise.
I knew a girl who used to use it all the time. It was one of the cute things I really liked about her. Plus, I remember Raffine posting a picture of a cat with the words "meh" on that I found particularly hilarious.

Heh...I have used TEH many many times just due to my typing. Woohoo I am cutting edge!
I prefer 'Feh'.

I remember Lisa Simpson using it a bunch. Not really her catchphrase or anything.
Since then I've used it.
