Haven't heard about this bird-attack flick here yet. I read about it of, in all places, the New York Times.
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/25/movies/25birdemic.html
Favorite quote from the article: "Evan Husney, who now works for the independent distributor Severin Films, was also at Sundance in 2009, where he spotted Mr. Nguyen driving a beat-up sport utility vehicle decorated with a prop eagle and fake blood, and blaring bird noises from its stereo.
'On the side of his car,' Mr. Husney said, 'he had spelled the name of his own movie wrong. He had spelled it 'Bidemic,' without the R.'"
That's the kind of attention to detail that makes a great bad movie!

Man, the trailer seems to go on forever! I can only imagine what the movie's like! (You may want to skip to 1:30).
Keep your eyes out guys!
I absolutely HAVE to see this movie!!!
PLEASE tell me this is a joke, that it is meant to be laughed WITH and not just AT. This trailer makes me weep for Mankind.

Did you notice that "visionary" writer/director James Ngyuen has trademarked the phrase "romantic thriller"? :bouncegiggle:
It is honest to God, a real movie. They've shown it several times here in LA @ the Silent Movie Theatre on Fairfax. All shows are booked by Cinefamily. Haven't seen it yet, but it's gotta be up there with the best of the bad. Can't wait to see it.

It's playing this weekend at the Madcap Theater in Tempe, AZ (http://www.madcaptheaters.com/events/viewevent.aspx?eid=233).
If you live in the area, this could be your chance to witness movie history.
IMDB quote on the wonder that is
Birdemic :buggedout: :buggedout:
QuoteYou don't simply see Birdemic, you experience it in the same way you would a colonoscopy. It literally feels as if a camera has been inserted inside you to help you better understand you.
I implore you, experience Birdemic. Few films will ever touch this as this will. It stands now as one of the towering achievements of not only the '00s, but in all of human creative expression -- it's like God crapped in your brain and gave it a name. That name is Birdemic: Shock and Terror.
:bouncegiggle: :bouncegiggle:
That looks like fun. Plus the gratuitous bra shots. :teddyr: I would watch it and not just for the lady walking around in the bra. :bouncegiggle:
Later,
John
Can't be worse than KOMODO VS. COBRA (can it????????)
  Uh...E-yeah. I'm seeing a pain parade in some viewers future.
Yup, hot babe - I'm there :teddyr:
Official site (http://www.birdemic.com/home.html). Not coming soon to a theater near me... :bluesad: I may have to take a road trip.
:bouncegiggle: :bouncegiggle:
They even completely ignored the 180° rule, it looks like they did it on purpose :teddyr:
Reminds me of Hitchcock's the Birds
What's up with the coathangers at 1:40?

It's still touring random cities through August. I'm guessing a DVD will be out in early fall.
Here's the schedule: http://www.birdemic.com/screenings/index.html
Cool 3 dates showing at the Plaza Theater in Atlanta which has been around since 1939 :buggedout:
