J.D. Shapiro, who wrote the first-draft screenplay for the film, recently accepted the Razzie for Worst Movie of the Decade and in this New York Post article, apologizes to anyone who saw it.

That's a pretty great article!
Best acting parody ever!

That's awesome! Good on him :)
Battlefield Earth wasn't bad at all. Batman Begins and TDK, just to name two, were much worse.

 I got nothing, that statement sort of speaks for itself. :tongueout:
That's nice that he apologized. Because of him, people were driven insane by the sheer amount of stupidity that movie had to offer. Though, making
The Worst Movie of the Decade is an accomplishment to be proud. Now people will remember your work for a long time to come!

I maintain that every problem
Battlefield Earth had, the Nolan Batman movies had worse. Bad plots, bad acting, bad camera work, it's all there.
That's one of my favorite things about bad movies - the people who make them (sometimes) have a sense of humor and aren't egotists. I'd much rather watch junk made by this guy than watch equally bad, or worse crap made by someone who honestly believes they're brilliant :teddyr:
And once again, I've seen stuff so bad that it really makes Battlefield Earth look pretty good in comparison. Quantum of Solace quite simply blows this thing out of the water.
QuoteYou go to CC every day, take vitamins and go in and out of a sauna so toxins are released from your body. You're supposed to reach an "End Point." I never did, but I was bored so I told them I had a vision of L. Ron. They said, "What did he say?" "Pull my finger," was my response. They said I was done.
Advance apologies to any Scientologists that we might have here but :bouncegiggle: :bouncegiggle: :bouncegiggle: :teddyr:
Aw come on, there were plenty of worse films in the last ten years, they just want that cracker. AWK, BATTLEFIELD EARTH, AWK!
No way Akira Batman Begins and TDK not even worst than Battlefield Earth.
Well I have to say I honestly prefer Tim Burton's Batman films over these latest ones.
I don't understand why Battlefield Earth should have won the Worst Movie of the Decade- Daniel - Der Zauberer (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0421051/) should had won it. It's number two on the Bottom 100 for crying out loud!
I Think That Compared To Some Of The Abominations Of Cinema That Have Come Out In The Last Decade BATTLEFIELD EARTH Should Be Considered A Masterpiece
